Job Description

About us

We are THE hospital in Dubai pushing standards of veterinary care forward since 2008. We have had the first certificate holders, the first 24/7 emergency hospital, the first privately owned CT in Dubai and now the first RCVS-recognised ECVS specialist surgeon. We were the first to bring UK qualified veterinary nurses to Dubai, and we recognise and respect the essential role they have within our hospital.

We see advanced diagnostic, medical, oncological and surgical cases daily and cover every aspect of patient care and pride ourselves on following the highest veterinary standards and ethics to help pets, and guide their owners through difficult decisions to ensure the best outcomes.

We remain an independent veterinary hospital with both owners working in the team.

Our modern veterinary facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies, enabling our team to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, diagnostic, and preventive healthcare services for companion animals. We encourage continuous learning and development.

Position Overview

We are looking for a veterinary nurse who is empathetic and still loves their job! The position involves surgical nursing (including working with specialist surgeons), anaesthesia, inpatient and critical care, emergency care, diagnostic imaging and loads of dentistry!  Sorry! We still do nail clips! A hunger to learn and know more about cases is essential, and you should have a good knowledge of both medical and surgical nursing. We can teach you if you have the enthusiasm and desire to learn.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a progressive veterinary practice while contributing to clinical excellence, mentoring junior team members, and supporting the continued growth and success of the hospital.  We are a friendly team – vets and nurses having advanced qualifications as well as some newer nurses being mentored.

As a 24/7 hospital, we work varying shifts to cover our hours and help each other. You will work a 40-hour week, with varying weekend, weekday and some night shifts. This is a unique hybrid position encompassing both day and night work. The night work is not arduous, and allows strategic holiday planning giving everyone plenty of time off.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Veterinary Nurse qualification (eligible for registration with RCVS or equivalent)
  • 2 year's experience in a small animal hospital
  • Competent with anaesthesia, radiography and dental procedures

Benefits and Perks:

  • 4 weeks paid holiday
  • Time in lieu or extra for public holidays (there are 11)
  • CPD Allowance
  • Annual flight allowance
  • Excellent staff discount
  • Medical insurance
  • Career progression opportunities

We value and nurture our relationships - within the hospital and with our patients.

We have a loyal team and a client base - we respect and remember the helping hands.

We set our standards high and strive every day to live up to them.

We push our boundaries for learning and education.

We get the job done.

We save animals. That’s what we do.

If you want to save animals, with a top-class team in an extraordinary environment speak to us.
