An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our Small Animal Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Referral centre.

Due to the practice growth this is an additional RVN position and you will be joining a friendly, supportive team consisting of 4 Registered Veterinary Nurse's and 2 Animal Nursing Assistant's.

Our modern facilities include 4 Consult rooms , 2 Operating theatres, Prep room , CT scanner, Digital Xray, In-house laboratory plus separate Dog and Cat wards.

We are looking for a friendly, dedicated and enthusiastic RVN who can help provide excellent care to our clients and their pets. The ideal candidate will be confident in anaesthetising a range of patients for surgery including emergency and critically ill patients. However this is not essential as in house training and support will be provided. The position will invole rotating within:

Anaesthesia

Scrubbing in to assist with procedures

Patient care

Admissions, discharges and post operative nurse appointments.

Assisting with processing referral bookings.

Use of our management system for note keeping, pricing and booking appointments.

This role is full time working a 36 hr week plus a on call night care shift to care for our inpatients on a Wednesday.

Part time will be considered for the right candidate.

Salary for this role is up to £30,000 depending on previous experience.

No weekends

No OOH

25 days holiday plus bank holidays

RCVS/VDS fees paid

Funded CPD provided and encouraged

We’re looking for an RVN to join the Mark Nelson Team at our client friendly branch in Thornton Heath.

You’ll get a salary of £29,000 – £35,000, depending on experience and level, and excellent benefits.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic RVN to join our friendly multidisciplinary referral hospital providing the highest standard of nursing care for patients in the Theatre department of the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals.

As a theatre RVN you will work closely with our clinicians, residents, anaesthesia team, theatre assistants, sterilising technicians and students to provide a high standard of care for our patients. You will act as a circulating nurse to include managing surgical kit requirements, peri-operative imaging, record keeping and scrubbing into surgery to assist when required. You will also be involved in teaching and assessing veterinary students in theatre related skills. This role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your clinical skills in addition to developing your teaching skills in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will have strong experience of working in a hospital or referral setting. You will be required to supervise and train both veterinary and veterinary nursing students so experience of being a Clinical Supervisor would be advantageous.

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday with 1:5 weekends and some on-call duties. Weekends are Saturday and Sunday on-call only, with protected time back in lieu the following week.

Our multi-disciplinary hospital accepts a range of referral and first opinion cases. As part of our Emergency and Critical Care team you will be working alongside our friendly and experienced RVNs, Patient Care Assistants, ECC residents and interns to care for patients during their stay.

You will supported throughout by the Head and Senior ECC RVNs, to ensure progress through your training period and that you continue to feel confident and valued in the team. Stansted Veterinary Specialists is a new, multi-disciplinary, small animal referral clinic scheduled to open in summer 2025, less than a mile from London Stansted Airport. We will be offering specialist led Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedics, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiology referrals at launch with plans to add other services in the future. We are independent and owned exclusively by the team working within the clinic, putting pets and people at the heart of everything that we do.

We are looking to recruit a team of Registered Veterinary Nurses to join us as we start our new venture. You must hold a veterinary nursing qualification registered with the RCVS and have the legal right to work in the UK. Experience working in referral clinics is beneficial but not a necessary requirement.

Salary: £37,000 per annum plus generous bonus scheme

Hours: Full time - 40.5hrs /week average including nights (initially 1 in 8) and weekends (initially 3 in 8 inclusive of nights). Typical working week consists of 4 x 10hr shifts although there is some variation in this over a full cycle of shifts.

The nature of individual roles may be able to be narrowed as the team expands. We believe that a strong and empowered nursing team is the key to unlocking excellent and efficient patient care.

This position is ideal for an RVN keen to develop their nursing career and specialise in all disciplines of Neurology and Rehabilitation nursing, you can expect:
