A part time position would also be considered.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Salary</strong></p> <p>The salary is negotiable depending on qualification and experience.&nbsp; Salaries are paid monthly in arrears by BACS and an auto-enrolment pension scheme is in place.&nbsp; We pay the annual veterinary nurse registration fees and CPD is encouraged and funded.&nbsp; We provide medical insurance, dental insurance and local <em>active life</em> gym membership.&nbsp; We have a discount scheme in place for staff pets and all employees receive 28 days full pay for sickness per annum (pro-rata).&nbsp; Are you ready for the next step in your career?</strong><br /><br />We are looking for someone to join us for a maternity cover contract from February 2026 to March 2027.&nbsp; In our London Office vet team as our Veterinary Nurse Manager overseeing and supporting our vet nurse teams across the organisation. &nbsp;</div> </div> </div> </div> <h2 class="external-panel__heading" id="responsibilities-heading">What does this role do?</h2> <div class="external-panel__trix-content external-panel__trix-content--colored" id="responsibilities-body"> <div id="External::Careerspage::Renderrichtrixcontent-react-component-46d0ab09-59e4-497e-b15a-58bd6978e55b"> <div> <div>As a Veterinary nurse manager you will,<br /><br /></div> <ul> <li>Lead and manage including making any required changes to&nbsp; the SAS and VSF funding schemes, supporting the team to manage their workload.</li> <li>Oversee the invoice management for payments relating to these schemes and liaising with the Head of Finance.</li> <li>Support the Senior Vet Nurses in managing the Emergency Trust Fund (ETF) and any exceptional funding agreed for veterinary care of dogs.</li> <li>Provide professional support to the veterinary nursing teams working within the rehoming centres supporting their individual professional development as well as the functions of the vet suites.&nbsp;</li> <li>Oversee patient safety and continual improvement across all vet nurse teams.</li> <li>Liaise with wider DT departments (Operations, Communications and Customer Support Centre) to manage escalated complaints which may include difficult or sensitive situations.</li> <li>&nbsp;Represent the clinical veterinary team in cross organisational projects as well as undertake project management work that aligns with our strategy.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <div><strong>Please see the attached job description for further details.</strong><br /><br /><strong>Interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for the w/c 5th January 2026.</strong></div> <div></div> </div> </div> </div> <h2 class="external-panel__heading" id="skills-heading">Could this be you?</h2> <div class="external-panel__trix-content external-panel__trix-content--colored" id="skills-body"> <div id="External::Careerspage::Renderrichtrixcontent-react-component-aa8588d7-2d74-4ea0-896e-b66ef39e027f"> <div> <div>Someone with strong veterinary experience who is able to build relationships, manage others and is able to set high expectations.&nbsp;<br /><br />The role is part of the senior management team and involves working at the London office. It includes development of training programs along with the Learning &amp; Development team and wider organisational connections. Representing the veterinary perspective at internal stakeholder meetings and representing Dogs Trust at external stakeholder meetings.
