The BSAVA has appointed Kevin Fairless as chief executive officer.

Kevin’s leadership experience spans professional membership organisations, industry bodies and “purpose-led organisations operating in regulated environments”.

Due to officially take the role on 3rd August, Kevin says his focus will be on listening to members, colleagues, volunteers and partners, understanding what matters most to them and building on the association’s strong foundations.

“As the BSAVA approaches its 70th anniversary, this is an exciting opportunity to combine its proud heritage with new ways of working, helping to deliver the ambitious strategy now under way at the BSAVA. I look forward to working with the BSAVA team, its volunteers and wider veterinary community to continue to shape the next chapter.”

Interim CEO Stacy Woodman will work alongside Kevin for a brief period to ensure a smooth handover.
