Entry to Royal Canin's annual Pet Health Counsellor of the Year Awards 2011 closes on April 30 2011 - so PHC-qualified vet nurses have just eight weeks left to submit their entry.

The Awards celebrate the role of the Pet Health Counsellor, and recognise their contribution to adding value to their practice. Submissions can relate to any work carried out previously, and can either focus on a single campaign or a more general approach, presented in the form of two case studies and two client testimonials (which can be as simple as a thank you card).  Supporting material, such as photos and posters are very welcome.

Royal Canin Veterinary Scientific Support Manager Catherine Howard said: "Pet Health Counsellors put in a huge amount of effort, and are very often responsible for promoting the practice to customers and the general public.  Their work is a real demonstration of how creativity, enthusiasm and initiative help take a practice forwards."

Prizes on offer this year are £1500 in High Street vouchers for the Gold winner, £1000 for the Silver winner and £500 for the Bronze winner.
