Veterinary Care Assistant – Full Time
Location: Carshalton, Surrey

We have an exciting opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to join our friendly and supportive team at Parkside Veterinary Centre.

Our current VCA has progressed into a Student Nurse role, and we’re now looking for someone equally passionate about animal care to become part of our growing team. This is an ideal role for someone looking to develop their skills and potentially pursue a nursing career in the future.

About Us:
We are a busy, independent, purpose-built, 100% small animal RCVS-accredited training practice in Carshalton, Surrey. Our state-of-the-art facilities include:

  • Three theatre suites

  • Dedicated diagnostics suite

  • Separate cat and dog wards

  • Isolation unit

  • On-site laboratory

  • Large, pet-friendly waiting room with separate cat and dog areas

Our caseload is varied and includes routine surgery, orthopaedics, laparoscopic spays, and endoscopic procedures.

Your Role:
As a VCA, you will be a vital member of the team, working closely with our Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Nurses, and Reception team. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in patient care and handling

  • Supporting theatre and prep areas, including sterilising surgical instruments and setting up equipment

  • Helping maintain ward hygiene and stock levels

  • Running in-house lab samples

  • Providing support on reception and delivering outstanding client care
