Up to £30,000 depending on experience and relocation support up to £1,000 plus benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse or 2nd Year SVN to join our amazing small animal and exotics team. Part time will also be considered. 

 

Duties for this role will include; admits, discharges, inpatient care, anaesthetics, nurse clinics, consult team, pharmacy, ward nurse, recovery, countersigning the medication box, nurse messages and of course client care. This is a great opportunity to work with a variety of species, to a high standard and be part of a friendly and supportive practice.   

 

The rota is designed to give a great work life balance with the 40 hours being spread over the 4 days a week Monday to Friday.  

  • 8am-8pm  
  • 8am-4:30pm  
  • 8am-8pm  
  • 8am-4pm 
  • Then a day off each week on rotation.  
  • Long weekend 1in5 

 

Weekends 1 in 5;  

  • Saturday 8am -11:30am
  • Sunday 9:30-11am 
  • Extra hours as overtime or TOIL 

 

Working the above shifts on a share of 2 bank holidays each year.  

Out of hours on call work 1 in 5 weekends for additional wage supplement.  

Exotic animal training in-house and courses encouraged and funded.  

 

We are based at two sites; 

Chorlton with our Small animal work & our Avian and Exotic Referral Clinic.

Ashleigh vets has been proudly caring for the pets of south Manchester for the last 50 years and is fortunate to have a lovely client base and good reputation. With easy access to airports, motorways and city centre it’s an ideal location. Well equipped with usual toys (digital xrays, video endoscope, ultrasound) we can cater for most patient’s needs.

We are the largest exotic referral practice in the Northwest, with a bustling caseload for cats and dogs as well.
