Job Description

Due to our expanding practice and providing our own OOH service, we have the opportunity for a full time qualified RVN or 2nd year SVN to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a great opportunity to work with a variety of species, to a high standard, with a loyal and lovely client base. We are based over 2 sites, Chorlton & Sale, with our Avian & Exotic referral clinic also based at Chorlton - a great location, with easy links all over the country.

At Ashleigh Veterinary Centre we offer a competitive salary, fully and well equipped Tier 2 practice, supportive CPD allowance, bonus scheme, RVN fees paid, paid birthday off, generous holiday allowance and opportunity for career development. We have been proudly caring for family pets for over 56 years! Usual toys: ultrasound, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, video endoscope, internal lab, video microscopy, tonopen. Lots of chocolate, cake and biscuits and a funded Christmas party!

This role would encompass all tasks as pertinent for RVN - admits/discharges/inpatient care/anaesthetics/nurse clinics/client care. The rota is based around a 40 hour week: 5 days (mix of early and late shifts). 1 weekend in 4 (sat 8.30-11.30, sun 9.30-11). No OOH! Good team work with a fantastic bunch to work with and a good reputation locally.

The ideal candidate will be a hard worker, multi tasker and team player. The role would be suitable for either an experienced RVN, or newly qualified. We would also consider a year 2 trainee as we have several clinical coaches with years of experience mentoring.

As a Disability Confident Employer we are keen to hear from candidates with disabilities and long term health conditions, and would be happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed during the recruitment process
