Luna is a fast-growing, forward-thinking start-up on a mission: To make first-opinion dental care for pets better, more accessible, and more affordable.

We’re building dedicated dental-only vet clinics that give dogs and cats the expert care they deserve, whether they’re just starting their dental health journey or returning after being priced out at their regular vets.

The Role

Luna the Dental vets in Reading is our new clinic opening in January 2026. It features a dental consulting room (with high definition dental camera), and a fully-equipped dental theatre with state-of-the-art anaesthetic and monitoring equipment, plus of course digital dental X-ray. We also use a newly-developed digital system for dental charting and anaesthetic record taking, to help us deliver exceptional patient and client care.

Led by our newly appointed lead vet the 7 person clinical team typically carries out 3 and 4 dental procedures per day, with the RVNs also carrying out dental health assessment consultations, post operative care, and client support as pets begin or continue their dental health journey.

This is a genuinely unique RVN position that blends hands-on dentistry, anaesthesia, and client-facing leadership — perfect for nurses who love clinical quality, tech-enabled workflows, and a varied day.

You’ll work in a beautifully equipped dental clinic featuring:

• High-definition dental cameras
• Digital dental X-ray
• Advanced anaesthetic & monitoring kit
• A fully equipped dental theatre
• Digital charting & digital GA records
• A calm, pre-planned caseload (usually 3–4 procedures/day)

Your time will be split between:

• Theatre & Clinical Work — running GAs, charting, and performing scale & polish under Schedule 3.
• Consulting & Client Care — dental health checks, post-op care, supporting pets on their dental journey.
• Front-of-House & Practice Support — inbound calls, customer care, Dental Club membership support, product sales, and helping with community marketing.

This is a role where your voice matters, your skills are genuinely used, and your work helps reshape how dental care is delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor general anaesthetics and deliver exceptional clinical care
• Perform dental charting and (where appropriate) Schedule 3 scale & polish
• Carry out admits, discharges, dental consults and post-op support
• Champion tech: digital charting, cameras, PMS, GA monitoring
• Handle inbound enquiries, bookings and client communication
• Confidently manage product sales and procedure payments
• Support with community engagement and social content (ad hoc)
