RVN required at fantastic SA practice in Surrey
We are a friendly, small animal practice based in Virginia Water, Surrey. Equipped with digital x-ray, operating facilities, capnograph, BP, ECG, ultrasound, digital dental x-ray, lab with much used microscope and more. We pride ourselves on getting to know our clients and patients and we believe all our team are important. We will listen to your ideas and support development in your areas of interest wherever possible. Two team members are currently completing certificates and we hope to start taking Dentistry referrals this year.
We are looking for an RVN to cover maternity leave on a Full Time, Fixed Term Contract. Running from the end of lockdown to August 2021 with the possibility of an ongoing permanent role. Hours are 40 per week, with a mixture of early and late shifts, Mon-Fri and minimum 1:4 Sat mornings. No OOH, Sundays or Bank Holidays. You will have varied responsibilities including, Inpatients, Ops, GAs, Lab, X-ray, Consultations, Pharmacy, Equipment care and supporting other team members. All staff take a share of admin tasks. The role would be an excellent opportunity for an RVN looking to build experience for a future Senior/Head Nurse role. Early start on Part Time hours available during lockdown period, subject to negotiation.
Applicants must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (some Schedule 3) and have experience in UK small animal general practice. Willingness to get involved with development of practice protocols, improving clinical standards and patient care is essential. An interest in Dentistry, Nutrition or Consulting are welcome but not essential.
