Job Description

RVNs Required   (Maternity cover)

What’s the phrase, you wait all day for 1 bus then along comes 2! Well that’s what’s happened here at S.T.A.R……..we have 2 nurses happily pregnant. :-)

This leaves in a unique position. We are looking for 2 nurses.

Role 1 – A RVN to cover the minimum 9 month maternity cover with potential to being 12 months. Start date end of February 2021.

Role 2 - This would be a 12 month contract with the potential to being taken on as full time RVN at the end of the contract as we are increasingly busy. Start date Mid-June 2021.

Ideally we are looking for a RVN who has had been at least registered for 2 years or considerable experience.  Our head nurse is one of those pregnant so as part of this role for someone who can manage a team and be 'acting' senior nurse whilst ours is on maternity leave.

The S.T.A.R Veterinary Clinic is a young practice but rapidly expanding, small animal practice located on the boundary of East/West Midlands (Near Twycross Zoo).  We are a family run business and pride ourselves on our animal and client care.  We specialise in animal rehabilitation and are only one of a few 'vet led' rehab clinics in the country.

For the right friendly, enthusiastic, caring and compassionate person, we are offering:

  • A stimulating nursing role with many hands-on opportunities
  • Modern working environment with purpose-built facilities
  • Very friendly & supportive team
  • The opportunity to learn some of the rehabilitation skills here at S.T.A.R
  • 37.5 hour week with 1: 3-4 Saturday mornings
  • Competitive Salary (on request)
  • No on call
  • No Sundays or bank holidays
  • CPD encouraged with generous allowance

If you feel that you are the right person to join a great team of dedicated staff and want to be instrumental in developing this already thriving new practice, then supply us with a CV and comprehensive letter of introduction to The Practice Manager Rachel Hunt, rachel@starvetclinic.co.uk
