The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team here at Kingswood Vets, Woking!

A good mix of theatre, ward and consult shifts with no reception cover for RVN's. Our nursing team generally work a 5-day week with 8-hour shift (this can be flexible for the right candidate. shifts are normally 8-4pm or 11-7pm with 1:5 weekends 8:5pm Saturday and Sunday, with a day off in lieu and overtime paid for any time you are in practice after 1pm Saturday.

About Us

Kingswood Vets is a well-established local practice in Woking, with 2 branches within a 15-minute drive. We moved to a new purpose-built hospital premises in 2018. We have a really good mix of well insured clients wanting gold standard plus RSPCA and other charity work. All the usual toys including tonopen, surgical diathermy, digital dental x-ray.

As work life balance is important to us, Woking is full of things to do, we are surrounded by golf courses, country parks like Lightwater Country Park, RHS Garden Wisley, unspoilt scenic walks which includes Pyrford Lock, a theatre, galleries and The Living Planet Centre. We do still have great transport links though being around 30 minutes from London Centre on the train

We are a team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons (6.5FTE), 8 Nurses (7FTE 6 RVN's and 2SVN) with an amazing support team of 12 who do all the hard work to keep the practice running smoothly. We have feline medicine certificate holder, visiting cardiologist and surgeon to learn from. We are looking for a candidate with some experience who is passionate about the provision of high-quality service to patients and clients.

Applicant Requirements

We are looking for an RVN or experienced student, ideally with a passion for nurse consults to help support or clients and their pets through the years from new puppies to geriatric clinics and all the fun years in between.
