Registered Veterinary Nurse required at Tern Vets, Market Drayton
Here at Tern Vets, we are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team! Your duties will include a mix of medical and surgical nursing responsibilities, nurse consults, cattery and kennels management, inpatient management, drug ordering and dispensing. This role is split between our Market Drayton and Newport sites.
This is a full-time permanent role working five 8 hour shifts per week. There will be 1 in 4 Saturday mornings from 8:30am-12:00pm. Our emergency cover is provided by vets now and any out of hours work is exclusively for inpatients. Our nurses currently do a 1 in 8 out of hour inpatient rota for nights and weekends. About Tern Vets
Tern Vets is a friendly, supportive and experienced team environment. We work across 2 sites 13 miles apart, both surgeries are fully equipped with xray, scanners, laparoscopy, endoscopes etc. We also have a farm and equine practice working out of our Market Drayton surgery. There has been a veterinary surgery in our original Market Drayton site for over 100 years. Our surgeries in the market towns of Market Drayton and Newport are approximately 1 hours from Birmingham and Manchester airports and half an hour from the larger towns of Shrewsbury and Telford. Sitting on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border is the beautiful peak district and the Shropshire Hills are equally accessible.

Across both sites have 11 Veterinary Surgeons (mixture of full and part time), 6 qualified Nurses, 2 Student Nurses and 10 support team members. We have certificate holders in Small Animal Medicine, Cardiology, Feline Medicine and Surgery. We are happy to consider candidates of any experience and we can support new graduates and would equally welcome more experienced applicants. The team has been involved in challenges such as the 3 peaks and the Coniston Challenge for charity and we have several keen marathon runners in our midst.
