RVN Wanted At Edinburgh’s Go-To Feline-Only Clinic

Job Description

No Drama, Just Cats - RVN Wanted At Edinburgh’s Go-To Feline-Only Clinic

Are you an experienced and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse with a genuine love for cats? Do you thrive in a calm, respectful environment where high standards of care and teamwork are paramount? If so, The Cat Clinic is looking for you!

 About Us

The Cat Clinic is a quietly confident, feline-only veterinary clinic based in Edinburgh. We’re not loud or flashy—we simply focus on delivering outstanding care to cats and their humans in a calm, respectful environment. Our clients trust us. And our results speak for themselves.

We exist to advocate for cats—quietly and compassionately—because we believe all living beings deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.

At The Cat Clinic, our values guide everything we do—and they’re more than just words. Compassion means we take the time to truly see each patient, not just squeeze them into the schedule. Fairness means charging honestly and treating each other with respect—no egos, no hierarchy, just people doing their best. Our commitment to excellence shows up in our curiosity: we never stop learning or pushing ourselves to deliver the best feline medicine possible.

Hard work and going the extra mile are second nature here. Whether it’s a team member staying late to make sure a cat is settled and comfortable, or a receptionist recognising an urgent case on the phone and getting it seen without delay—our team shows up for each other and our patients. Honesty is woven through everything: no drama, no politics, just open communication and integrity.

We also listen. To our clients. To each other. And to our patients—even when they don’t speak, they tell us plenty. We notice what isn’t being said, and we act on it. And despite being a quiet bunch, our team spirit is strong. From spontaneous shift cover offers to homemade cakes and welcome gestures for new staff, kindness and collaboration are part of our daily rhythm.

We recently transitioned to employee ownership—securing our independence and ensuring that the future of the practice reflects those same values. As we prepare to expand our building and grow sustainably, we’re looking for the right person to help us grow our RVN team and the services they can offer.

As Jenny, our Director and lead vet, says:

"This job is about doing what’s right—even when no one is watching—and building a practice where every cat, every team member, and every client is treated with the care they deserve."

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team,  working 30 to 36 hours per week over 3-4 days per week with 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.

* Calm and confident in handling feline patients.

* Flexible and adaptable, willing to go the extra mile to support the team.
