Registered Veterinary Nurse required at Crown House Vets, Rochdale

Job Description

Registered Veterinary Nurse
Crown House Vets, Rochdale
Up to £30,000 depending on experience, plus benefits

A Veterinary nurse's job is invaluable and more than just a list of tasks, but your general responsibilities will include inpatient care, theatre preparation, running laboratory samples, infection control, radiography, call handling, anaesthetic monitoring, dental work, nurse clinics and more!
The role will ideally be a 36.5 hour week worked over 5 days, however, this is negotiable. The practice operates a vaccine clinic every other Saturday morning which means working 1 in (approx) 6 Saturday mornings. There are no OOH or Bank holidays and the surgery closes at 6pm.

Find a place to excel

Join us in delivering a professional service and enhancing our strong reputation. Crown house vets is placed in an ideal location close to the town centre, and easily accessed by car or public transport. We are well equipped with diagnostics including in-house lab, digital x-ray and ultrasound. Our theatre is kitted out for soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, and dental work. For several years, we have actively supported a local cat charity, assisting them in preparing their residents for adoption. Our commitment to providing a personal and professional service has earned us a strong reputation in the local area.

Meet like-minded professionals

Our new addition will be working alongside 2 vets, 2 very experienced RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 VCA, 2 Receptionists and a Practice Director. We actively encourage CPD and certificates if there is interest to pursue them. We pride ourselves on our nurse utilisation - one of our long standing nurses often works alongside the vets in theatre on schedule 3 ops to assist with the case load. We hope to find a RVN, either newly qualified or experienced, to complete our team.
