Registered Veterinary Nurse required at Brownlow Vets in Oswestry
The Role
Here at Brownlow Vets, we are on the lookout for a full time and a part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team! The candidate’s responsibilities will include anaesthetic monitoring, nursing consultations, reception work, assisting the Vets and schedule 3 work.
The full-time role will include working with inpatients on an overnight rota but no phones. The rota is 40 hours per week over 4.5 days with 1:6 weekend inpatient cover, including Saturday surgery 8.30-5:00 pm and 1:6 Saturday mornings 8.30-1:00 pm. There is a share of a weeknight inpatient rota on a 1:5 basis.The part-time role will include working 25 hrs per week over 3 days with 1:2 Saturday mornings 8.30-1:00 pm. No inpatient rota is needed for this position.The salary will be in the region of £24,000 FTE depending on experience.

We are not far from Snowdonia National Park, the outdoor adventure capital of North Wales and home to the world’s fastest zip line. Oswestry itself is a lovely Shropshire market town with great links to bigger cities such as Chester, Shrewsbury and Manchester as well as the great outdoors.At the practice we have all the usual gadgets and work to a high standard of veterinary care. We have two certificate holders, medical and surgical. We are a small animal team of 6 FTE Vets, supported by Registered Veterinary Nurses and student Vet Nurses, ANAs and a very experienced client care/ reception team.We pride ourselves on great client care and communication!We are looking for a team member to add to our already experienced team with scope for specialisation and support in further training to expand career opportunities!
Applicant Requirements
We will be looking for someone experienced, but we are happy to support a recently qualified Nurse who is looking to expand their skills in a supportive busy practice. They must also be a great communicator, have a positive attitude, are keen to learn and expand skills and are a Team player!
