Robson & Prescott requires a Registered Veterinary Nurse
Robson & Prescott Veterinary Surgeons have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team!Your day-to-day duties will include:• Performing nurse consultations at either our Whorral Bank hospital or our branch surgeries• Assisting Vets with their consultations• Helping to develop the range of nurse led clinics available to our clientsThis is a part-time position, and we are happy to offer flexible shifts. Ideally, this will be 2-4 days per week depending on your availability. The working hours can either be mornings, afternoons, or within school hours if that suits you! There are no requirements for out-of-hours or weekend work.The salary for this position is up to £27,299 depending on experience. Pro-rated to the part-time hours worked.
Our purpose-built main hospital is based on the outskirts of Morpeth about 15 minutes north of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in a beautiful market town. We have a lovely facility with a huge waiting room, six consult rooms, laboratory along with wards to cater for cats, dogs, small mammals, and exotics. There are also four large operating theatres with separate radiography, dental and ultrasound suites and we also have an onsite hydrotherapy unit. Our equine and farm departments are based out of the main hospital making it a busy and sociable workplace. We are a supported by a large and dedicated team of nurses, nursing assistants, reception, and a hydro therapist and currently, we have 7 branches based across Northumberland. We are 10 minutes from amazing beaches, hills, castles, shopping, and nightlife - all of which add to the social lives of our staff and help achieve that all important work life balance. At Robson & Prescott we have 25 Vets and 22 Veterinary Nurses working to complete our varied caseload. We have certificate holders in exotics, surgery, medicine, cardiology, and behaviour to support and encourage development in the team. We have our own R&P social group who organise events for fun and charity throughout the year. Our team is very close, and the working day is filled with plenty of laughs and pizza!
Our ideal candidate will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse and will need to enjoy working as part of a team and be happy to work independently at our branch surgeries.Previous experience of a consulting-based role would be preferable, but not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
