Adams Vets first opened its doors in 1975 and we have been offering high standards of first opinion care ever since! We are a veterinary group with two great practices based, one based in North Liverpool and the other in the South. We are a really friendly, welcoming bunch! Our team is made up of 8 vets, RVN, VCA’s, SVN’s & support team. We have a close knit team and a great working environment. We care for small animals and wildlife and we have a varied caseload. No two days are the same!
Our practice is light, spacious and well equipped. We offer all that is expected of a high quality facility, such as ultrasound, digital x-ray machine, digital ECG, tonopen, and in house lab analysers. We are part of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme and we are also proud to be a training practice. High standards of care and great customer service is very important to us. We like to work in a relaxed and friendly environment and we believe in really looking after our team.
Full time position, 37.5 hours Monday-Friday. Shifts between the hours of 8am-7pm. No OOH’s. Weekends are just 1 in 3 Saturdays only, 8.30 a.m. -1 p.m. with time back in lieu. We believe in a great work/life balance.
As a Senior RVN at Adam’s Vets, you will have a hands on nursing role. Due to our Head Nurse being split between the two sites, your role will be to assist the Head Nurse at our Fazakerley site. Your role will also include some senior duties such as mentoring, team supervision, stock control and more. We are keen to get Nursing Consultations on offer to our clients by a motivated RVN that clients can bond with. You will need to be self-motivated and happy to work as a sole charge Registered Nurse at times. This is a fantastic opportunity that includes the chance for career progression into a deputy head role, for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be a motivated and competent RVN. Desirable requirements include experience as sole charge nurse in charge of a team, experience in various surgical and clinical cases and experience in clinical coaching to help train our Student Nurses.
