Registered Veterinary Nurse - Failsworth

Site Specifics 

Our Failworth surgery has recently taken on it’s tenth vet and we are now needing additional RVN’s to support our growth. Our Failsworth surgery is one of our busiest locations meaning its fast-paced and the caseload changes on a daily basis. 

There is a wide range of work with 3 theatre streams every day and medical / imaging cases. 

We’re a down to earth team, looking for nurses with a social heart and who are passionate about helping us to deliver our not-for-profit service. Proud to be continually investing in our equipment, you’ll be surrounded by a well-equipped working environment including; onsite dental Xray, Ultrasound and Endoscope services. Within the Animal Trust network, we have access to CT scanning and specialist ultrasound services.

Common duties

  • To provide assistance to the veterinary surgeon team and be committed to delivering a caring, efficient and professional service to patients and clients at all times 
  • Supporting veterinary surgeons in theatre, providing inpatient care, supporting and completing independent consultations, admissions and discharges 
  • Provide front-of-house support and advice to clients where required 
  • Support in the dispensing of medication 
  • Maintain the clinical cleanliness of the surgery 
  • Organising and re-stocking of the surgery, wards and theatres
  • Share our vision of providing not for profit care to all of  providing a high standard  
  • Support client service team with reception cover where required 
  • Complying with all health and safety procedures 
  • Complying with data protection legislation to ensure client and patient confidentiality is maintained at all times

It’s important that you’re a real team player that enjoys the buzz that comes from working in a fast-paced and busy environment. You’ll be highly skilled and keen to continue progressing your knowledge.

Job particulars 

  • 40 Hour average working week

  • £20,209 — £26,111 (more for Diploma in Veterinary Nursing)
