Registered Veterinary Nurse

Burch Tree Vets, Carnforth

Salary up to £29,000 depending on experience plus a £500 relocation allowance

 

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our fantastic team in the South Lakes area. The candidate will be on a department rota to maximise variety in their working week. Departments include Theatre, Recovery, Diagnostics, Consulting with the possibility of a small amount of Reception cover on occasion.

Ideally the rota will include working 40 hours, Monday to Friday, but reduced hours/days will be taken into consideration. Shift times are a mix of 8:00am-5:00pm and 10:00am-7:00pm.
Weekend on call until March 2024 will be 1 in 7 weekends then from March 2024 it will be inpatient care only with no element of on call.
Saturday mornings are 8:00am-12:00pm and will be on a 2 in 7 rota alongside the 1 in 7 on call/inpatient care rota.

Our location is in a picturesque area of Northwest England, just south of the stunning Lake District. Neighbouring Morecambe has mesmerising sunsets, dog-friendly beaches, and views across the bay to the Lakeland fells. We are a 2-site practice, one in Carnforth and the other in Morecambe.
We are a progressive practice, always looking at quality improvement and ways to provide our patients with the best experience. Our team has a wealth of experience and are very supportive.
Facilities include digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, endoscope, HDO BP & Laser Therapy.

Currently we have 4 full time Veterinary Surgeons with a healthy mix of wisdom & youth.
Our current 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses have a combined post-qualification career spanning 27 years! Our 2 Student Veterinary Nurses are soon to qualify next spring/summer.
We also have an Animal Nursing Assistant based at our Morecambe surgery, alongside our lovely Receptionist.
Our Carnforth surgery also has a full time Receptionist whose client care is exceptional.
We have a resident orthopaedic vet and another who enjoys internal medicine and cardiac cases.
