Job Description

The Role 

We are looking for a full-time registered veterinary nurse to join our two-branch practice, based between both the lakes and the dales, a beautiful part of the country. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic team player to be based at our Kendal practice who will be involved in delivering a high standard of care to a variety of companion animal cases and the occasional farm animal. A typical day can be theatre, inpatient care, lab work and nurse clinics. There may be the occasional holiday cover at our Kirkby Lonsdale practice.
Salary of up to £25,000 FTE depending on experience. 

About Us

Between our 2 purpose-built practices in both Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale we offer a fantastic team of caring and professional vets, nurses, and support staff. Both premises are fully equipped to a high standard with digital X rays, ECG, Ultrasound and Idexx Lab machines and much more. At Kendal we are on the edge of The Lake District known for its beautiful lakes, rugged fell mountains and historic literary associations and Kirkby Lonsdale has the Yorkshire Dales on its doorstep best known for its stunning scenery and great natural attractions such as Malham Cove and Aysgarth Falls.

About the Team and Culture

We have a team of 15 vets split between farm and small animal with 8 RVNs and 1 SVN and to compliment that we have a team of 12 full and part time support staff across our two sites. We have certificate holders in Cardiology and Advanced Veterinary Practice along with Cattle Health and Production and Diploma in Bovine Reproduction. The practice has been in Kendal for over 100 years and is well established with a loyal client base and we pride ourselves on offering a personal but friendly service to our local communities.

We are looking for a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys all aspects of practice and wants to be part of a friendly experienced team whether newly qualified or few years of working experience.
