An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse Clinical Lead at Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital. Our great and enthusiastic clinical team consists of 9 vets, 13 nurses and 4 VCA’s. The practice is located in the beautiful Cotswolds, close to Cheltenham, Bristol and Bath.
Clockhouse is a very friendly, high standard first opinion team that fully works up medical cases and performs advanced surgical procedures e.g. TTA, perineal urethrostomy and laparascopic procedures. The hospital is well equipped with laparoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, radiography, echocardiography and on site lab with brand new biochemistry and haematology machines. The team includes certificate holders and those currently working towards certificates. We are supported by a local referral hospital nearby where CT and advice is readily available.
The role will be to lead the nursing team to ensure excellent teamwork within the nurses and with the other staff and ultimately drive the team to deliver the highest level of clinical care. The hours are full time (40 hours per week). You will be part of the rota to cover weekend day shifts with the other nursing staff. You will have regular nurse duties regarding medical and surgical patient care. Competitive salary package. CPD is actively encouraged and generously funded. Package includes 4 weeks flexible holiday plus bank holidays and birthday leave. There is a good workload but allowing for excellent work-life balance. RVN and VDS membership included. You will liaise regularly with the Clinical Director and Practice Manager in regards nursing provision at Clockhouse.
We are looking for the successful applicant to start in April 2020. You must be an RVN with qualified nursing experience. It is essential the applicant has proven leadership experience. A previous management role is not essential but would be hugely beneficial. The successful applicant will act as a role model to and teach other members of the nursing and VCA teams. You must be able to motivate the team and promote the highest standard of care within the practice team.
