Job Description

Registered Veterinary Nurse
White Cross Vets, Alvaston
Salary up to £29,000 depending on experience

Here at White Cross Vets, we have rare opportunity to join our team as a registered veterinary nurse.  You will cover a variety of job duties including consults, clinics and surgery, no two days at White Cross are the same!

Due to our flexible approach to rota patterns this Vacancy is suitable to both full-time and part-time applicants.  We know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. A typical full-time role would involve working a 37.5 hour week, between practice opening times (8:30 am – 7 pm). A share of early and late shifts, as well as participating in a Saturday rota. No OOH.

You will be joining an award-winning veterinary group – White Cross Vets
White Cross vets is a family. We value people above all else and it shows! Don’t just take our word for it, we have a number of testimonials from past team members and locums who have worked with us to give you another perspective.

Find a Supportive Team at White Cross

We are a lovely supportive friendly practice where we all look out for each other and work as a team. The entire team are encouraged to bring ideas forward on how we can improve, whether that’s clinically, services offered, what lunch and learns we want or how to get the most out of our wellness sessions. The diary is sensibly managed meaning we leave on time with consults finishing an hour before anyone is due to leave, there is time for phone calls without having to try squeeze it in. We have monthly nurse meetings to discuss any complicated cases or new tips people have picked up at CPD etc. alongside regular practice and clinical meetings.

We have an amazing team of 6 dedicated nurses, all with their individual passions which include orthopaedics, dermatology, a cat friendly advocate and nurse clinics including weight, senior and one for diabetics. We all love what we do, and people don’t leave because they don’t like the job! Our 4 vets are all lovely and appreciate all our amazing nurses do, they will all help mop and tidy.
