Job Description

Veterinary nurse required

Pay: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year

Job Description:

The Mewes vets is an independent, multi-award winning vets where we treat pets as friends.

We need an additional full or part-time RVN to join our friendly caring team.

The role will be mainly at our Rottingdean site, a small village clinic, with one consulting room and one theatre. Our team of 3 vets, 5 other nurses and 4 receptionists mostly job share.

We have three clinics altogether, with the newer Peacehaven and Rottingdean sites being very close to one another, and the longer established site in Haywards Heath being separate.

Both our coastal sites offer the same equipment and standard of customer care, focusing on client continuity with our one-pet-one-vet policy. The clinics have digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitors, in house IDEXX lab machines that perform haematology, biochemistry, electrolytes, blood pressure monitors, a microscope and sedivue urinalysis.

You being you

We are looking for someone who is able to work 4 x 9.25 hour days (37 hours per week), or similar spread over 5 days if you prefer this. Your day off would be Tuesday or Wednesday, if working 4 days a week. Plus one in three Saturday mornings.

As a flexi-time employer we are also open to negotiation about part-time hours.

We will encourage you to be the best nurse that you can be, and to follow your own dreams and goals, while enjoying the autonomy to make the best decision for each patient without the need to worry about financial or other targets.

The day-to-day duties will include:

-Carrying out nurse consultations

-Responsibility for inpatient care
