Weekend RVN required at Gatehouse Veterinary Group, Allerton
We are expanding, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Weekend Nurse to join our amazing team here at Gatehouse Vets, Allerton!
The role includes care of inpatients and maintaining nursing and hospital standards, working alongside the duty vet and assisting in emergencies and procedures as they arise, liaising with clients and their pets in order to achieve successful outcomes. This a non-consulting role and will be very hands on so experience is necessary.
The shift pattern will be 7am-7pm Saturday and Sunday however there will be some flexibility for the right candidates/s. The roles can be split between two RVNs if required and you will always be working alongside 1 vet and at least 2 support staff. There will be no OOH with the possibility of extra shifts if requested.
Salary for this role is up to £25,000 pro rata depending on experience.
We are a tier 3, well established hospital on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and in the heart of Bronte Country with excellent rail and travel networks. We are a gold certificate ISFM cat friendly practice holder and silver rabbit certificate holder with Outstanding areas from our recent RCVS inspection. We are fully equipped with xray facilities, dental xrays, Ultrasound, Endoscope, multi parameter monitors etc and pet ambulance.
8 vets, 11 RVN’s, 14 Support Staff, 2 VCA’s. This role would suit an RVN who struggles with childcare during the week, someone wanting to study for a certificate or someone wishing to move away from routine procedures. We hold regular team building events including our annual treasure hunt, weekends away, Christmas parties and Congress opportunities.

Enthusiastic, reliable, and motivated team player with excellent communication skills and a desire to deliver excellent in- patient care. RCVS registration or eligibility to register are required for this position.
