Registered Veterinary Nurse required at Ayrton Vet Hospital, Whitburn.
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team here at Ayrton Vet Hospital. Our nursing team are fully utilised to their potential; a varied and challenging role which will include prep/theatre patient involvement (e.g. IV placement in all patients, patient induction under direction, blood taking, laboratory work, radiography, dentistry and surgery assist). We also have designated ward rotation for improved in-patient care and routine consultation RVN clinics.
We have a beautiful, light, purpose-designed, spacious building to work in. Located between the cultural and historical cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. Great colleagues, a nursing team which is fully utilised and supported with VNAs. We are a training practice with excellent facilities and equipment - digital X-ray, latest laboratory equipment, Sevofluorane and Humphrey ADE anaesthesia.
We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse/RVN who shares our thinking and is ambitious, compassionate and an excellent communicator. The successful applicant will want to contribute to the continuing development of a young hospital and will need to be competent in monitoring anaesthetics, venepuncture, taking/processing radiographs, performing routine lab procedures and providing care for hospitalised patients.
