Veterinary Nurse – Neurology
(Full-time, permanent) 37.5 hours, standard working day 8.30am-5.00pm (1 hour unpaid lunch)
We have a rare opportunity available for an RVN with special interests in neurology and neurosurgery. The role involves contributing to the daily organisation of the neurology and neurosurgery service by scheduling and organising diagnostic procedures, assisting during neurosurgical procedures, liaising with clinicians regarding patient care, facilitating communication with clients or referral practices and teaching undergraduate veterinary students. You will get the opportunity to be immersed in specialist procedures and provide excellent pre and post - operative care to our ward patients.
We are looking for a candidate who is well organised and is able to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience of working within a busy referral practice would be advantageous as would relevant teaching experience, however, we welcome any enthusiastic registered nurses wishing to advance their career.
The successful candidate will participate in a roughly 1 in 4 weekend shift (8.30am-5pm accruing TOIL or overtime).
