Due to an ever-expanding caseload, we have an exciting opportunity to join the Hospital for Small Animals. We are seeking three experienced RVNs who love everything from triage to trauma. You will receive training in all areas of the hospital to provide cover to both our ward and ECC patients, going where you are needed most on a given night. If you stay calm under pressure, are detail orientated, and enjoy fast-paced problem solving, this is the job for you.

The Opportunity:

We have a dedicated night team who cover 365 days, allowing us to provide 24/7 care to our patients. These roles will cover everything from ward-based patients, including felines, canines and exotics as well as assisting our emergency and critical service. You may cover out of hour surgeries and endoscopy, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills.

We have three canine wards, four exotics wards, one feline ward, two isolation units, as well as a dedicated, continually-staffed, Intensive Care Unit and new emergency room. We provide the highest level of care to patients with life-threatening conditions as well as more routine cases.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • The jobholder must be a RCVS registered veterinary nurse (RVN).
  • 2 years’ experience in nursing is essential.
  • Prior experience working within either a veterinary emergency care setting, ICU, or referral hospital is advantageous- however, full internal training will be provided.
  • Proactive work ethic and excellent communication skills are essential
