Job Description

Lynton House Vets, Woking
Salary up to £35,000 DOE plus up to £1,500 Relocation Allowance

Find fulfilment by joining our team at Woking

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team here at Woking. We are looking for a Head Nurse to manage the daily operational organisation of the small animal clinical team to ensure excellent teamwork and the highest level of clinical care.
We provide a varied working day for our nursing team with shifts ranging from anaesthetic monitoring, care of inpatients, nurse consultations, assisting reception, drug dispensing, lab work, and maintaining a sterile work environment. The role will allow for great clinical exposure and the opportunity to work amongst a friendly and supportive team.

Rota patterns that work for you

This is a Full-Time position, and you will ideally work 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday. Typically, the earliest start is 8am and the latest finish is 7.30pm (with normally 1 and no more than 2 late finishes a week). Saturdays are 1 in 4, 8am-4pm with a Friday off the following weekend. We want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance therefore we are happy to discuss a flexible rota pattern to suit you. Whether you are looking to fix or flex or need condensed working days, we are happy to discuss.

Join a progressive practice

We are a long-established, Small Animal Veterinary Group based in Woking, Bagshot and Addlestone.
As a progressive practice we recently relocated to our brand new, purpose-built practice in Woking, and continue to invest to refurbish and equip our other 2 practices to the same high standard. The practice maintains state-of-the-art clinical equipment such as dental radiography, Virtual Veterinary equipment (VVS) ultrasound scanners, anaesthetic multiparameter and patient warming equipment. We also have a purpose-built grooming salon. We have a loyal client base and a gold-standard reputation across the local community. We have great transport links to London and the beauty and history of Surrey on our doorstep ready to explore.

Support and encouragement from our dedicated team

Our 7 Veterinary Surgeons are supported by a great team of 9 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Student Veterinary Nurses, 3 Animal Care Assistants and experienced Receptionists across the Group. The management team are very experienced and works continuously to provide an environment where all staff feel valued, listened to and provided with a developmental pathway. The team is friendly and supportive throughout and ensuring the mental and physical well-being of all staff is a high priority for those in leadership and management roles.
