Head Veterinary Nurse required at Norwood Road Vets in Herne Hill

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Head Nurse looking for a new challenge and we can provide you with a supportive environment in our experienced team. As the Head Nurse you will be in charge of the rota and ensuring the practice needs are met alongside those of our team. You will also be in charge of developing the nurse team in their skills and education which we will back with CPD and any other training routes you think will help the practice. You will also be in charge of organising holiday cover and assisting with recruitment. The position is full time, working Monday- Friday (shifts 8.40-4pm/ 12-7.30pm) and 1 in 2 Saturday mornings (8.45-12.45pm). No OOH or on call. Salary range £31,000 - £33,000 depending on experience.

The practice is based in Herne Hill, beside Brockwell Park. We are close to transport links. We have one operating theatre and a dental suite including dental x ray and separate cat/ dog wards. We have 3 full time vets and 3 full time RVN's (one of them will be you), 1 receptionist and 2 support staff. We actively encourage further development and 2 of our vets are currently studying for certificates in medicine and surgery.

We are looking for a hardworking RVN, ideally with experience. You will be a team player, have the ability to multitask and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. A key attribute is responsibility and leadership.

We are looking for a current head nurse or a senior nurse wanting to progress into a head nurse role. You will be a team player, have the ability to multitask and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. A key attribute is responsibility and leadership.
