About the practice: We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead our friendly team of nurses and nursing assistants. This position is based in the idyllic market town of Bourne in Lincolnshire. We have two branches , with a Head Nurse at each branch . We are a 4 vet practice and currently have 5 RVNs , a Reception Team of 3 and 4 Nursing Assistants. We are a busy well equipped first opinion practice with in house diagnostics , x-rays , ultrasound , blood pressure monitoring and fully equipped operating theatre.

About the role: The successful candidate will be someone with a passion for nursing and a willingness to lead and support a team. They must be a team player and be happy to be involved in growing our nurse clinics. This role would suit a confident, friendly team player , who can work hard with a smile and have a genuine passion for animals. IT skills would be an advantage and organisational skills will be essential to help manage rotas and engage with the management of stock ordering. This is a full time role with a minimum of 30- 40 hours a week . There is no night time out of hours and the weekend rota is 1 in 6.

Applicant requirements: This is a rewarding position for an experienced and enthusiastic RVN, the ideal candidate would benefit from also being a clinical coach , however this is not essential as we can assist with training. As a Head Nurse communication skills are vital. We would assist with management and leadership skill training.
