About Us:
Pride Veterinary Centre is the central hospital for Scarsdale Vets, with satellite branches in the surrounding area including Farm/Equine. We are a large first opinion and referral hospital with plenty of facilities including 5 Theatres, MRI, CT, Ultrasound Rooms, Digital X-Ray, Endoscopy Suite, Chemotherapy & Radiotherapy, separate Cat/Dog/Exotic Wards. The team is warm, welcoming and supportive with an anything’s possible approach.

About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to really inspire and develop the team as well as utilising their proven leadership skills. We are looking for applicants to have a firm but fair approach, emerging leadership skills and the ability to build positive relationships with other teams in the hospital. You will be expected to undertake return to work meetings, performance reviews and set objectives for individuals. This highly skilled team have a lot to offer, and we are looking for a team leader to promote and support them to provide a continuously improving service to our clinicians. Many responsibilities such as ordering of stock and arranging for equipment to be serviced have been delegated within the team, but the Theatre Team Leader would be tasked with overseeing these are completed in a timely and accurate manner. The role is 43 hours per week (usually worked over 5 days). Combination of shifts ranging from 7:30-4:30, 8-5, 8:30-5:30, 9:30-6:30 or 9:30-7. OOH on call for surgical emergencies as part of rota. 1 weekend in 6, with time off in lieu the following week.

Applicant requirements:
Required skills and experience
1. Qualified RVN
2. Team leader/managerial experience or qualification
3. Experience of working on call
4. Excellent communication and organisation skills
5. An interest in developing others

Preferred experience:
1.Referral experience
2. Experience in a very busy hospital environment
3. Knowledge in theatre practice and anaesthesia
4. Ability to motivate and enthuse team members
5. Passion and enthusiasm for the job
