Our Vets4Pets surgery in Pollokshaws is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and experienced team for a temporary role covering maternity leave. The practice is purpose-built and based inside a busy Pets At Home store in the south side of Glasgow, close to a great selection of local amenities including Pollok Park. There is plenty of free onsite parking and we are well-located for transport links into the city. Our surgery is modern and well-equipped with theatre, digital x-ray and laboratory facilities, as well as 3 consulting rooms and separate dog and cat wards.
We are a close-knit team comprising of 3 vets, 2 veterinary nurses, 1 student veterinary nurse, 3 receptionists and a practice manager. We share a love of pets and a common goal of providing the highest standards of healthcare for our patients, as well as providing a supportive working environment for each other.
We are looking for a friendly, versatile and organised RVN with a genuine passion for the role. Excellent communication skills are essential, as well as confidence in all areas of general nursing and a keen interest in nurse clinics. Previous experience would be of benefit but not essential, new graduates are encouraged to apply as support can be offered.
The hours required will be up to 30 hours per week and will include a minimum of 1 in 3 weekends. This is a temporary role with a possibility of progression to a permanent role for the right candidate.
