The clinic is part of the Bristol Animal Rescue Centre and we work closely with our adjoining rehoming centre.
Our clinic is a purpose built 100% small animal charity practice (RCVS General Practice accredited) with great facilities and a good range of equipment (Digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, ECG, lab).
The veterinary team deal with a uniquely interesting and variable caseload:
We are looking for a qualified registered nurse to join our friendly team. Operations are carried out Monday - Friday. Nurses work in prep, theatre, and kennels (the kennels role being to supervise nursing assistants and organise arrival/discharge/treatment of inpatients). You will make full use of your nursing skills; we do bloods, x-rays, fluid therapy, lab work, anaesthesia, nurse appointments, as well as triage and intensive care.
Our team consists of 4 RVNs, a nursing assistant, reception staff and 3 vets. As a charity we are non profit making and absolutely dedicated to animal welfare. Patients and clients receive an excellent standard of care from our team. You will also liaise with staff from our homing centre as well as local RSPCA inspectors and other RSPCA branches.
Successful candidate: The ideal candidate will be an experienced nurse with good clinical skills. We are looking for a RVN who uses their initiative and wants to be part of a friendly hard working team.
