I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse with more than three decades of experience across clinical practice, practice leadership, veterinary education, professional development and industry roles.

I began my veterinary nursing career in 1991 as a trainee in small animal practice, later working in mixed practice, progressing to Head Nurse, VN Assessor, Practice Manager and wider leadership roles. My career has taken me through independent and corporate practice, education, operational management and professional representation.

I served as BVNA President from 2017 to 2019 and remain committed to raising the profile of veterinary nurses, supporting career development and helping the profession continue to grow with confidence.

Through www.wendynevins.com, I curate CPD, news and learning resources for veterinary professionals, with a particular interest in practical education, leadership, nurse-led clinics, professional confidence and the evolving role of RVNs in modern practice.
