I'm an independent specialist in veterinary wound management and dressing technologies. I've lectured widely, both nationally and internationally across equine and small animal disciplines over the past 10 years.
My day-to-day role is focused on running The Veterinary Wound Library (www.vetwoundlibrary.com), the wound management advice and support service for vets and nurses I founded.
Following many queries regarding healing complications and bandaging injuries, I also set up a team of ‘Bandaging Angels’ who deliver evidence-based education to practices to help refine techniques, develop protocols and improve outcomes.
The Bandaging Angels deliver in-house CPD to practices throughout the UK focusing on wound care and bandaging with membership of the Vet Wound Library included to support your nominated wound nurse.
I have also dedicated a lot of time towards the development of the role of the veterinary nurse in wound management. In 2014, I launched the 6 month distance learning course “Delving Deeper Into Wounds” and more recently lead the Veterinary Nurse Merit Award in Wound Management with BSAVA.
