I teach Canine First Aid courses to members of the public who take their dogs into remote UK locations. As a member of the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team here in Snowdonia I have seen a steady increase in call outs for dogs. Although not the primary role of mountain rescue, team members will attend incidents involving dogs. I am currently writing a book on Outdoor First Aid … for dogs and I am keen to share thoughts and ideas with veterinary specialists who can understand the challenges of doing first aid a long LONG way from veterinary help.
