In light of the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the RCVS has issued a series of temporary arrangements to help to support student veterinary nurses navigating their training during this challenging time.
If you are a student veterinary nurse, work for a veterinary nursing training provider, or manage clinical training in an approved Training Practice, you may be concerned over the effect of the COVID-19 outbreak on normal working and therefore the fulfilment of practical training requirements.
The RCVS have temporarily suspended some of their training requirements, providing alternative arrangements and guidance in order to support students to complete their training under these circumstances. The key areas supported by these arrangements are as follows:
· Clinical placements
· Training Practice approval and quality monitoring activities.
We recommend that all SVNs, VN training providers and Training Practices read this guidance. Find out more via the RCVS website here: https://www.rcvs.org.uk/news-and-views/news/coronavirus-vn-council-agrees-temporary-suspension-of/
