Wendy Nevins shares her experience with us….

“I joined BVNA Council in October 2016.  I wanted to join as I felt it would be a really great experience and that it was time I looked at giving something back to the profession that has been such a huge part of me and my life since 1991.  I had never been on any committees or working groups previously so had no clear expectations at all.

My time on council has been amazing. I have really enjoyed being a part of the decision-making process that helps to shape our profession, and I have been very fortunate in working alongside some really passionate and effective individuals.

Not only do I feel I have given something back to the profession, but I have also learnt and grown myself as well and some of the friends I have made will be friends for life.”

During her tenure, Wendy has held officer positions as well as taken part in many external groups critical to raising the voice for vet nurses.  She has been President, Vice President and Senior Vice President; and been the BVNA representative member on:

·       RCVS Legislative Working Party

·       Chair of Vet Nurse Futures Project Board

·       BVA Vet Led Team
