Night Veterinary Nurse required at Parkvets in Sidcup, Kent

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our supportive team. The shifts will be 8pm-8am. You will be supported by a night vet and 2 night VCAs. You will work across dog, cat and exotic wards and be sole charge of nursing our patients. You will have to answer emergency calls and triage patients when waiting for the vet. You will have to prioritise and organise your night and be able to handle high stress situations. We cover OOH for a number of local practices so will have to be able to cope with different scenarios.

We are a large hospital boasting gold standard with a friendly, caring team of vets (30), nurses (30) and VCA’s (6). We specialise in inpatient care and medicine, orthopaedic surgery, laparoscopic surgery, imaging, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, dentistry and exotics. We are a GOLD cat friendly practice with ISFM and have our own client care, bookings, finance, insurance and lab departments so you can concentrate on actual nursing. We are a very close team, who are very supportive of one another.

We are looking for a nurse that can handle high stress and emotive situations, one that provides gold standard care across the board and who is passionate about inpatient care. An RVN with post qualification experience is preferred but not essential. Full training will be provided.
