This is a small friendly, single vet, small animal practice that has been established 20 years. We aim to look after both the animals and our clients in a personal way. Many of our clients have been with us since we opened.
We are looking for a competent and keen qualified Veterinary Nursing Assistant to join our small friendly team to help provide this personal service to our clients.
WHAT THE JOB INVOLVES
You will be responsible for supporting the team and taking care of the well being of pets by maintaining a clean and hygenic environment at all times. You will also be assisting in the handling of animals, reception cover and general support for the Veterinary Nurse and Veterinary Surgeon.
Duties will include:
You should have experience of working in a practice environment both with clients and with animals. You must be well presented and have a confident telephone manner when dealing with clients. You should be able to work as part of the team and use your initiative to see what jobs need to be done without having to be told. You will be given training to help you settle into the team.
Your average working week will be 35 hours. Your hours of work will be from 12.00 noon to 7.00 pm Monday to Friday and one Saturday every 4 weeks on a rota system. You must be flexible in your working hours to be able to cover the needs of the practice for holiday and sickness cover.
Your holiday entitlement will be 21 days a year in addition to the 8 Statuary Bank Holidays.
