Independent RCVS accredited Hospital looking for an RVN

Job Description

We are an independent RCVS accredited small animal hospital in a pretty market town of Thame, Oxfordshire with good travel connections to London.

We are friendly, supportive training practice that has 11 vets, 12 RVNs, 2 SVNs, and 2 Axulliary nurses, a dedicated reception team and cleaners. We offer mentoring for newly qualified nurses and for nurses wishing to return to the profession after period of absence.

Our small animal hospital is well equipped and supported by two branch surgeries located in Princess Risborough and Chinnor. Our facilities include Digital Xray, Dental Xray, ECG, Ultrasound, Multiparameter Machines, Endoscopes, Capnographs, Syringe drivers, Bair Huggers, Drip Pumps and Chocolate.

Our nurses are encouraged to be nurses with our generous nursing team that allows you to advance your clinical and individual skills. You will be supported to fulfil your ambitions whether it be running your own puppy parties, clinics or 5-star inpatient nursing care.

A healthy work-life balanced is achieved by working eight-hour shifts and we provide our own out of hours emergency service. Full-time nurses working the on-call rota work a 41 hour week which include a sleeping on call shift at the hospital which is rewarded with additional financial bonus. Weekend work is rewarded with exceptional bonus and time back in lieu. Part-time can be negotiated.

Shared accommodation is available next to the hospital site if required.
