We are looking for an RVN to join our small animal team based in Airdrie. You will be committed to performing high standards of nursing care and be a fun and friendly addition to our excellent team.
 
Location: Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, ML6 6DW
Hours: 20-25 hours per week with 1 in 4 Saturdays 
 
Our surgery is purpose built with up-to-date equipment. We have in-house biochemistry, electrolyte & haematology, digital X-ray, multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring including bp, ultrasound, dental machine, rabbit dental equipment, individual kennels, cat ward and isolation units.
 
The team get along well and practice days/nights out are arranged regularly. We have a Christmas night out every year, paid for by the boss, social events throughout the year and we close the practice for an hour once a month for a tea & cake break! We also hold regular nurse, clinical and practice meetings and you will contribute to all clinical and non-clinical protocols within the practice. 

Person Specification

This role will involve consultations,delivering high quality patient care, laboratory work, radiography, tidying/cleaning, covering the reception when required, assisting the veterinary surgeon in theatre and administering anesthesia. 
 
The ideal candidate will work 20-25 hours per week to include 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am-12pm). The hours can can be arranged to suit but will include a late Friday finish. There are no Out of Hours requirements and any overtime will be paid. Salary will range between £18,000 - £21,000 dependent on experience.
 
We support career development, which is why the clinical team regularly attend full day and after-hours CPD. We have had one nurse recently complete a certificate in exotics and encourage our nurse staff to attend events, including the London Vet Show and the annual Vets4Pets Nurse Conferences.
