RVN required – full or part time hours available!
We are looking for an RVN to join our small animal team based in Airdrie. You will be committed to performing high standards of nursing care and be a fun and friendly new addition to our excellent team.
Location: Airdrie, central Scotland! Easy to get to via public transport and local motorway links.
Job role: Theatre/anaesthesia, consultations, general patient care, laboratory work, radiography, tidying/cleaning, helping with reception occasionally.
Hours: These can be arranged to suit – full time is 40 hours per week to include 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am-12pm) which is taken as time back with a half day during the week! The full time rota may also include a day off during the week. Holidays are 28 days per year including bank holidays, but you also get your birthday off as an extra holiday! No out of hours and any overtime outwith normal shift is paid.
Salary: Dependent on experience, will range between £17,000 - £22,000 and is negotiable.
CPD: Very generous CPD allowance. One nurse has recently completed a certificate in exotic veterinary nursing, another has been to the London Vet Show and we allow our whole nurse team to attend the annual Vets4Pets nurses conference. The clinical team regularly attend full day CPDs, after work CPDs and signing up for webinars is no bother!
Facilities: Purpose built practice, up to date equipment. We have in-house biochemistry, electrolyte & haematology, digital X-ray, multi-parameter anaesthetic monitoring including bp, ultrasound, dental machine, rabbit dental equipment, individual kennels, cat ward and isolation units.
Team: The team get along well and practice days/nights out are arranged regularly. We have a Christmas night out every year, social events throughout the year and we close the practice for an hour once a month for a tea & cake break. Ideally, you will fit in with our current team, hopefully within and outwith work.
