Veterinary Nurse – Medical
Easter Bush Campus
£22,214 - £25,728pa
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a veterinary nurse to join our busy feline medicine team. This varied role involves nursing care of referral patients, undergraduate teaching and the option of a client-facing role in our state of the art facilities.
Candidates should be good communicators, enthusiastic team players, with a strong desire to learn new skills and enjoy the challenge working in a fast-paced referral environment. Assisting in managing our expanding radioactive iodine clinic provides the opportunity to have client contact and there is the option of instituting new health clinics. Part of the role would be to continue to promote feline friendly practises within the hospital and beyond. The position would be predominantly within the Feline medicine department but also within other medical disciplines.
Experience in a referral hospital environment would be an advantage but applicants with less experience may be considered (salary scale £19,305 - £21,585pa). The post is full time (37.5 hours) 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch. Weekend rota consists of one full weekend shift 8.30am-5pm, either Saturday or Sunday. This works out at approximately one shift in seven weekends. One week of late shifts starting at 10am till 6.30pm is required on a one in 9 week approx. Weekends are paid as overtime.
Closing Date: 22nd March 2018
