Weekend Veterinary Nurse
2 Positions - 1 x 10hr Shift Post, 1 x 12 hour Shift Post
Would you like the opportunity to work at the Hospital for Small Animals? We are a state of the art referral and teaching hospital, set in the outskirts of Edinburgh, in the shadow of beautiful views of the Pentlands. We have a fantastic team of RVNs (registered veterinary nurses) and ACAs (animal care assistants) who cover a wide variety of specialities: internal medicine feline/canine, oncology, cardiology, dermatology, 1st opinion general practice, exotics and wildlife, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, neurology, physiotherapy centre, and ECC (emergency and critical care).
Do you already have a job you love but want to work in a referral setting? Do you have weekday commitments which require a flexible shift pattern? Are you a lecturer but want to keep your clinical skills on point? We are currently seeking two keen RVNs who are interested in working weekend only shifts. Must be a qualified RVN and experience in a referral setting would be advantageous, however, hospital training will be given.
The successful candidate will be appointed on UE04 or UE05 dependent on experience.
Messages from our newest team members:
"If you are ready for a change and a new challenge, then do it! Every practice works differently, whether 1st opinion or referral so there is always a learning curve with any new job. All of the staff are warm, welcoming, and very helpful when new nurses start."
"Everyone has been lovely and helped me to settle in, I can't believe I've been here for 6 weeks already and also can't believe it's only been 6 weeks!"
"I absolutely love it! Everyone is so helpful and very, very welcoming. Once I found my feet and got to grips with how the day to day works, I settled in fine."
