Job Description

Veterinary Nurse – Dunedin Vets - Tranent, East Lothian (10 miles East of Edinburgh).

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team. East Lothian is a great place to be, close to Edinburgh, as well as coast & hills.

We are a busy small animal practice providing the ideal opportunity to use your veterinary nursing skills to the full. We are a great, friendly, social team of vets, nurses and support staff. Our team consists of 6 vets, 4 Registered Vet Nurses and 3 Student Vet Nurses. Our practice has a full range of surgical and medical facilities and we are also a Veterinary Nursing training practice, so there will be opportunities for student coaching.

We are looking for a team player. You will be a good communicator, having empathy with clients and their pets, and a passion to extend your range of experience, alongside our likeminded team. Our ideal candidate will have at least two years’ small animal experience.

This is a permanent full-time position of 37.5 hours per week including one half day per week. No out of hours and one Saturday morning in 4 for 2.5 hours, followed by the whole of Friday off. Potential for overtime.

Salary - commensurate with experience; holiday entitlement - 28 days, including 8 public bank holidays, or equivalent of.

CPD encouraged and funded. Professional membership fees paid.
