Just 1 in 8 weekends & no OOHs!
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Our busy small animal practice based in Chippenham; Wiltshire is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team. Our training practice has a nursing team of five; two RVNs and three SVNs.
This is ideally a full-time position, but the hours can be flexible to suit the right candidate. There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties, but the rota will include 1:8 weekends (Saturday 8.30am – 5.00pm and Sunday 9.45am – 4.15pm).
We pride ourselves on having a friendly, affable, but professional team. We have a varied caseload, which includes soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and a visiting ultrasonography specialist. Our nurses run a wide variety of popular clinics in practice, including puppy parties. We are lucky to have a loyal client base, of which most are insured.
Our modern surgery has state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound, V-Gels, capnography and an in-house laboratory. Our excellent facilities allow our clinical team to deliver veterinary care with a dedicated focus of high clinical standard; this also includes a full support team of receptionists, a VCA, an evening/weekend kennel assistant and a part-time practice manager.
We are looking for a motivated individual with a positive attitude. You must be able to work well independently, as well as part of a team within our busy practice. We are looking for somebody who has excellent communication skills, who is keen to deliver clinical excellence, with a genuine passion for animal welfare. A good sense of humour is a must!
A clinical coach would be advantageous, but this is not a necessity.
In return what can we offer you?

☑ Holiday allowance that increases with service
☑ Excellent pension
