Job Description

LITE Ltd is looking to recruit a veterinary nursing tutor to join our friendly and experienced team, delivering veterinary nursing and animal care and welfare apprenticeship standards. The position is based at our Stockport centre. LITE Ltd is an independent veterinary nursing / animal care training provider with a well established reputation for the delivery of high quality training leading to high success rates.

The successful candidate will be a registered veterinary nurse with a thorough knowledge of veterinary nursing theory and current practice. They will be enthusiastic about inspiring and supporting students to achieve their goals.  Teaching experience is preferred but not essential as teacher training is available.

As part of our safeguarding procedures, we undertake DBS checks on all new employees.

Essential requirements:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • A thorough knowledge of Veterinary Nursing theory and current practice.
  • Recent relevant vocational experience.
  • Commitment to teaching and training.
  • Ability to take responsibility.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desirable experience / qualifications:

  • Degree / Higher education qualifications.
  • Teaching / Training experience and / or qualifications.
  • Experience of clinical coaching / assessment.

Hours of work:         

The position is Full time – 35 hours per week, usual hours are 9.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday

Remuneration:         To be determined according to qualifications and experience.
