Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Radiographer. You would be working to deliver a high quality of diagnostic imaging to all service users, ensuring clinical safety and facilitating a high standard of patient care. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Achieve and maintain high standards of practice within the department
  • Comply with legislative and hospital policies and procedure, ensuring patient safety- particularly relating to Radiation Protection for animals
  • Practice a high level of customer care
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to maximise clinical efficiency
  • To rotate between departments/ areas/modalities as required
  • To maintain accurate examination records and archived images
  • Support departmental audits in accordance with clinical governance policies
  • Assist in staff orientation and training
  • Care and maintenance of the processing equipment
  • To report all equipment faults and assist with stock control
  • Ensure all examination/procedural charges are accurately captured
  •  

Skills & Experience

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Diagnostic Radiography 
  • Minimum 2 years post qualification experience.
  • Good verbal and non verbal communication skill
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to respond to the needs of the department
  • Good team player
  • Evidence of professional/personal development
  • Customer care skills
  • Experience of working or caring for dogs and cats

 About The Individual

The successful candidate will have excellent customer care skills and good communication skills to allow them to liaise effectively with veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses, colleagues and pet owners.
