Job Description

We are an independent small animal veterinary practice with two branches 5 miles apart. We have a new, spacious and modern purpose built surgery in Yeovil, Somerset and a well established, well respected surgery in the beautiful market town of Sherborne, Dorset which is about to undergo a complete refurbishment. We have an experienced team with three vets holding certificates and a VN with an Advanced Nursing Diploma.

We are looking for a full time Head Veterinary Nurse to lead our team of 6 Nurses and 2 Trainee Nurses. The ideal person should be clinically confident but more importantly experienced and competent in managing people and able to assist in the the running and development of the practice. They need to be proactive and positive, encouraging our enthusiastic team to fulfill their ambitions and continue to evolve the practice as a whole.

Full time employment consists of 4 days per week with a designated day off plus 1 in 6 Saturdays. Out of hours is shared with another practice making our on call Nurse rota 1 in 12.

We offer a comprehensive salary package to be discussed at interview stage starting from £27,000 dependent on experience, not including out of hours work or any bonuses. The Practice will cover your Royal College fees and support appropriate CPD.
